Gifted and Talented
Big Minds, All the Feels (6 hour update)

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Do we identify gifted students based on high achievement or based on social and emotional characteristics? What is the purpose of gifted education and GT programs? To ensure students meet their academic potential, or to support the students’ whole being, academically, socially, and emotionally? And where do overexcitabilities come into the discussion?  In this session, we will review the latest research on both sides of the GT educational controversy and discuss how to support our gifted students through all of the innate aspects of being gifted and of a heightened nervous system.
