Participants will explore ideas that contribute to an increased understanding of academic rigor.
This is a secondary Advanced Academics and STEM session. This in-person event can earn participants 3 CPE hours. Participants of this event will be offered an asynchronous opportunity under a separate registration for an additional 3 CPE hours.
STEM is a way of thinking about content and teaching transferable skills, and participants in this session will explore STEM tools that can be integrated into any content area. After learning about various STEM tools, such as fluency skills, big ideas, and cross-curricular integration, participants will experience the use of STEM tools in both a Science/Literacy lesson and a Social Studies/Math lesson. At the end of this in-person session, participants will receive information about an asynchronous opportunity under a separate registration to submit a lesson design for a possible additional 3 hours.
