Presenter: Dr. Todd Whitaker.

Dr. Todd Whitaker has been fortunate to be able to blend his passion with his career. Recognized as a leading presenter in the field of education, his message about the importance of teaching has resonated with hundreds of thousands of educators around the world. Todd is a professor of educational leadership at the University of Missouri and professor emeritus at Indiana State University. He has spent his life pursuing his love of education by researching and studying effective teachers and principals.

One of the nation’s leading authorities on staff motivation, teacher leadership, and principal effectiveness, Todd has written over 50 books including the national bestseller, What Great Teachers Do Differently. Other titles include: Dealing With Difficult Teachers, Ten-Minute Inservice, Your First Year, What Great Principals Do Differently, Motivating & Inspiring Teachers, and Dealing With Difficult Parents.

Todd will be sharing his experience and research on What Great Leaders Do Differently.

The Region 10 Leadership Symposium provides leadership training to district administrators as part of their professional growth-driven education.  Region 10 ESC, a TEA approved sponsor for these trainings, has initiated a cooperative of Region 10 districts/charter schools to:

  1. Identify needed training
  2. Schedule, communicate and deliver needed training. These training opportunities meet the professional growth needs of a wide variety of local district administrators and focus on identified major functions of a school district's central office.

If you are an administrator in a Region 10 District/Charter or Private School who has purchased the Administrative Services Package, there is no registration fee. 

The cost for District/Charter or Private Schools who have not purchased the Region 10 Administrative Services Package and non-Region 10 participants is $450 per person, per event.
