Effective Practices Using Inquiry in the Science Classroom (6-12)
Asynchronous - Effective Practices Using Inquiry in the Science Classroom (6-12) (October 1 - October 28)

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**

The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) recommends that all K-12 teachers embrace scientific inquiry and inquiry should be the centerpiece of the science classroom. In the process of learning the strategies of scientific inquiry, students learn to conduct an investigation and collect evidence from a variety of sources, develop an explanation from the data, and communicate and defend their conclusions. The use of scientific inquiry will help ensure that students develop a deeper understanding of science. Join us as we look at the successful strategies in the secondary classroom that will help students learn how to ask questions and use evidence to answer them through the inquiry process.

This is a self paced course and there are no synchronous meetings. You will have until October 28, 2021 to complete all course work. After that date, all forms will be turned off and will no longer accept submissions. After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all course instructions and activities.
