This is a secondary Advanced Academics session, offered as part of Region 10's Instructional Practices and focused on opportunities for all students. Participants may earn three CPE hours.
Academic rigor involves supporting students as they become increasingly able to think critically and independently. Instructional scaffolding and easy-to-implement differentiated opportunities can increase the capacity for academic rigor. In this asynchronous course, participants will earn professional development credit by applying an understanding of scaffolding and differentiation to specific TEKS for an upcoming lesson.
After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all course instructions, videos, and required activities. Participants must complete required work by the course close on Nov. 30, 2021. A Region 10 consultant will review all submitted work, and credit will be awarded upon successful completion and review. It may take a week after the course closes for certificates to be awarded.
