Embedding Reading Writing Listening and Speaking in the Math Classroom

This session is designed to show how implementing the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) in the mathematics classroom will: provide assessment differentiation, support ELs in math classrooms, scaffold learning, connect within and beyond the classroom, promote critical thinking, increase retention through synthesis and allow for cross curricular opportunities. Participants will experience different tools to use during instruction that will support all students in the math classroom.
