Learn the basics of web accessibility and how to create compliant Microsoft PowerPoint and Word documents so that your visually impaired students, teachers, and parents can utilize screen readers effectively. Remember, non-accessible documents can trigger an official complaint via OCR (Office of Civil Rights) or worse - a lawsuit!
Implementing the skills you learn in this training will help your district work towards compliance with the American with Disabilities Act.
This is a hybrid class. We encourage you to participate in person in the Pierson Board Room at the Spring Valley location at Region 10 in Richardson, TX but a Zoom link will be provided also.
