Join this 6-week book study as we dig in to Dr. Kristen Mattson’s latest book, Ethics in a Digital World. This book will challenge your thinking about many ethical issues concerning technology and digital tools, including privacy, innovation, artificial intelligence, and more. You will need to purchase the book in order to participate in the book study. Region 10 will not provide copies of the book.
Audience: all educators (Topics in the book are appropriate for grades 6 and up.)
Level of expertise: all levels
This course will be available from June 14 through July 30, 2021. In order to receive six hours of PD credit, you will be expected to read one to two chapters (approx 30 "easy" pages) per week and contribute to an online discussion related to the content. You will also complete a personal reflection journal. No portion of the class will meet synchronously.
All registered participants will receive information for accessing the course prior to the start date.
There are two price tiers for this event:
- Members of the Region 10 Instructional Practices Package receive free registration.
- R10 teachers and Out of Region teachers who are not members of the Region 10 Instructional Practices Package pay $150.00.
