Dare to Lead - Daring Teams Rollout Program

Counselor Initiative and Student Support (CISS) is a cooperative designed to provide high-quality services, resources and training.  CISS will serve as a vital school counselor resource with opportunities to network for discussions related to best practices, cutting edge research-based programs, and the latest updates from the Texas Education Agency regarding school counselor roles and responsibilities.

Important Session Information:

The Daring Teams Rollout Program (DTRP) is an opportunity for leaders who have successfully completed the 24-hour Dare to Lead Training to share the work and what they have learned with their team(s). While successful completion of a program under the guidance of a Certified Facilitator earns you the “Dare to Lead Trained” designation, it does not mean that you are a facilitator. The DTRP was developed for teams to work together with the designated “Dare to Lead Trained” person serving as the group coordinator and co-learner—not as a trainer or facilitator. The intention of the DTRP is for teams to work together to learn and build the four skill sets of courage, practice having difficult and productive conversations, and increase team empathy and trust. The power of this program is practicing the work while we learn the work.

The DTRP provides a deep dive into 35-40% of the Dare to Lead curriculum broken up into seven 90-120 minute sessions to be led by the group coordinator and co-learner. The DTRP includes a workbook (hard copy and downloadable) to be used with participants. The DTRP groups should range from 8-15 persons from intact teams that the group coordinator and co-learner works directly with.

The Daring Teams Rollout Coordinators are not facilitators. Their responsibilities include setting meetings and reminders, sharing their personal experiences of learning and implementing the work, and gathering questions from the team (many organizations work with Certified Dare to Lead Facilitators to help manage the Rollout Program and answer questions from the groups).

Daring Teams Rollout Coordinators will participate in virtual coaching and consultation (4-90 minute sessions) with their cohort at an agreed upon date and time. This “Rumble Room” opportunity will help leaders craft and grow their skillsets with the Dare to Lead content.
