THIS IS A SELF-PACED COURSE THAT BEGINS ON JULY 11, 2021 AND ENDS ON JULY 24, 2021.
Skilled authors use tools and techniques to craft their masterpieces. If we want students to be better writers, then we must teach them the “art” of writing by exposing them to a variety of author’s craft moves and providing time for them to analyze and experiment with those tools. In this virtual asynchronous session, participants will clearly define author’s craft, identify different types of craft, and learn strategies for using art and the reading/writing connection to teach the art of writing. After registering, on beginning date of event, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all of the course materials.
To participate in this course and earn credit, you must be registered through Region 10 ESC. A Region 10 consultant will review all submitted work. Professional development certificates will be available after July 24th.
There are two price tiers for this event:
- Members of the Region 10 Instructional Practices Package receive free registration.
- R10 teachers and Out of Region teachers who are not members of the Region 10 Instructional Practices Package pay $150.00.
