Mental Health Training and Awareness
Strategies and Struggles Teaching Remotely: Taking Care of Yourself & Students During a Pandemic (DCAC)

Mental health professionals understand the biological, cultural, developmental, and social influences on mental and behavioral health, its impacts on learning, and evidence-based strategies to promote social–emotional functioning. Mental Health Training & Awareness supports school staff by increasing awareness and knowledge of mental health and co-occurring disorders as well as the presenting symptoms that affect an individual’s ability to thrive.

Important Session Information:

DCAC realizes that teachers are on the front lines of child abuse because children make abuse outcries to you AND now they're not in the classroom with you.  Completing this will help you recognize child abuse in a virtual setting.  This course will provide you with strategies and resources to help you navigate through online learning and interactions with children virtually.  You will also receive resources during this course to assist you throughout these times.
