Description: Youth violence includes behaviors ranging from bullying to gang-related activities, and can interact with other types of violence such as sexual assault, digital abuse, and suicide. Many factors contribute to youth violence: personal experiences, family dynamics, community characteristics, and societal level problems like racial and economic inequality. Because of these multiple influencing factors, preventing youth violence requires a coordinated effort in each of these contexts. This training will discuss different prevention strategies, focusing primarily on those that can take place in a school setting.
