Special Education Self-Assessment Training
2020-2021 Training for District Leadership




The Special Education Self-Assessment (SA) is scheduled to open in the ASCEND Platform on January 21, 2021 and close on April 30, 2021.  Please join us virtually for one of three ZOOM sessions being offered.

  • January 20th:  9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
  • January 20th: 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
  • January 27th: 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M

Each session will provide you with the information you need to successfully complete the SA with your team.  A recording will be posted on the R10 Special Education Liaison Resource webpage.

Only one person per LEA may register.

This is a Virtual Session that is only accessible through ZOOM.  

DESCRIPTION:  The Special Education Self-Assessment (SA) is scheduled to open in the ASCEND Platform on January 21st and close on April 30, 2021.  The SA is a mandatory Differentiated Monitoring and Support activity.  Please join us virtually for one of the three ZOOM sessions being offered.  Each session will provide you with the information you need to successfully complete the SA with your team.  This will include information on the purpose of the SA, how to navigate the interactive platform, and an opportunity to explore the SA Platform.

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the high demand for this workshop, we are offering three professional development opportunities.  Because of the interactive nature of this training, each session will be limited to 30 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and allow for a maximum of two participants from each LEA.  Registration is on a first come first serve basis.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS (Please read carefully.)

  • Only one person per LEA may register.
  • After your registration is received, an email will be sent to you requesting contact information for the optional second participant.  
  • Once that information has been received by R10 both the registrant and guest will be sent a ZOOM link.
