During this online learning experience, participants will examine the developmental progression of fractions through the math standards and how they are assessed over the years, and consider how this impacts content taught in middle and high school. Using math routines and virtual manipulatives, educators will experience and create opportunities for students to deepen their conceptual understanding of fractions.
After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all course instructions and activities.
This is an asynchronous course with registration opening December 10, 2020. To earn the 3-hours of professional development credit, participants must complete and submit all work by February 5th. All submitted work will be reviewed prior to credit being awarded. Professional development certificates will be available by February 12, 2021.
