THIS IS A SELF-PACED COURSE THAT BEGINS ON MARCH 22, 2021 AND ENDS ON April 9, 2021.
Whether reading for enjoyment, to learn how to do something, or simply preparing for the STAAR, good readers have common skills and techniques that they use to ensure their success. Teachers must teach students how to access those tools no matter what the reading circumstance. In this session, participants will learn how to effectively guide reading instruction so that students know how to think through a text by using annotation and discussion strategies which will help them raise their reading achievement while building a love of reading. **Participants will have a 3 week window to complete all coursework. Please note the start date and end date for each Cohort.
