Mental Health Training and Awareness
Opioid Use in Adolescents




Mental health professionals understand the biological, cultural, developmental, and social influences on mental and behavioral health, its impacts on learning, and evidence-based strategies to promote social–emotional functioning. Mental Health Training & Awareness supports school staff by increasing awareness and knowledge of mental health and co-occurring disorders as well as the presenting symptoms that affect an individual’s ability to thrive.

Important Session Information:


In this webinar, participants will gain a better understanding of opioids, opioid use and its effects on youth. We will discuss risk factors for adolescents and common signs of use. Presenters will discuss how to support families in getting students help and ways they can support students after they have received treatment.
