Restorative practices (RP) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) go hand in hand. With the use of RP, participants will learn how to incorporate real-word experiences for both youth and adults to gain the necessary skills to manage emotions, develop empathy, and establish positive relationships that promote safe and positive learning environments through CASEL’s 5 SEL competences of: self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision-making, self-management, and relationship skills.
