Creating Writers through Authentic Assignments & Essential Feedback




Region 10 ELAR offerings promote integrated reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking for TEKS-based instruction utilizing authentic reading and reflective writing.

Important Session Information:


**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**

Authentic writing tasks prompt genuine student engagement and develop students’ unique voice. Providing feedback that guides future thinking will allow students to cultivate transferable writing skills through these authentic tasks. Participants in this one-hour Zoom session will be able to design authentic writing experiences using mentor texts and provide high-yield feedback in two simple steps to develop secondary students as writers. Strategies in this session can be utilized for both face-to-face and virtual instruction. 

Please note: You must register for the webinar in two places:

All participants registered on the Region 10 website will receive Zoom login information prior to the webinar date.

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT

  1. REGION 10 INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES PACKAGE MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION
  2. IN-REGION/OUT OF REGION, NON-COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $100.
