Achieve three objectives in this asynchronous, self-paced course: define differentiation, explain why it’s necessary and examine three approaches to differentiating instruction in the World Language classroom. To achieve these learning goals, participants will watch two short videos, fill out a reflection form and chose one of two options: design, implement and submit a new differentiated lesson OR analyze the use of differentiation in two previously implemented lessons. Whether you are a new teacher or a veteran looking to push your skills, there are options in this course that match your skill level and goals for growth.
This self-paced course will be open from February 1, 2021 – April 1, 2021. After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all course instructions and tasks. Participants can complete and submit work at any time before April 1st. Between February 1st – April 1st, the Region 10 consultant will periodically review submitted work and determine if credit may be awarded. Certificates will be issued after the course closes on April 1st.
