We’ve all heard about SEL, social emotional learning, but have you looked at it specifically through the lens of what YOU do as a Fine Arts teacher? As a result of this asynchronous, self-paced course, Fine Arts educators will be able to define social emotional learning and articulate how it can be taught in Fine Arts classes. Participants will also create a plan for how they will teach social, emotional skills in one of their classes. This workshop is more than a sit and get. It’s learn, reflect and create! This self-paced course will be open from January 4, 2021 – April 6, 2021. After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all course instructions and tasks. Participants can complete and submit work at any time before April 6th. Between January 4, 2021 – April 6, 2021 the Region 10 consultant will periodically review submitted work and determine if credit may be awarded. Certificates will be issued after the course closes on April 6th.
