Introduction to Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) and the 10 Unique Visual and Behavioral Characteristics of CVI (C. Roman, 2018)

This, "Zoom" training is designed for Region 10 VI professionals (TVI and COMS), participants will be introduced to Cortical Visual Impairment, learning about the variety of names associated with it, the neurological disorders causing and associated with it, the basics about our visual brain and current research in the field.  In addition, participants will be given an overview of the 10 visual and behavioral characteristics described by Dr. Christine Roman (2018).  Finally, the CVI Range, an assessment tool developed by Dr. Roman (2018), will be briefly reviewed.
