Up-ing Your Questioning Game (K-12)

"Questions serve as the central focus of history. Historians investigate questions and develop evidence-based answers to those questions. It is imperative that historical instruction employ the methodology of "doing history" to ensure a rigorous experience for all students. Employing the historical inquiry process in Social Studies classrooms promotes student engagement and retention". (Bruce Lesh, Why Won't You Just Tell Us The Answer?) In this session, we will dive into why and how to develop effective questioning strategies for both students and teachers that promote critical thinking and discussion.
