Change Your Default Setting - Inquiry Literacy and Critical Thinking (K-12)

Flip the script in your Social Studies classroom! Instead of being the "sage on the stage", become a facilitator who guides students through inquiry based learning by analyzing primary sources and using critical thinking skills to develop their own historical interpretation based on evidence. By making their own connections, students will retain the content long after they are out of your classroom. In this session, we will also spend time exploring digital resources and strategies to create inquiry-based lessons where students are "doing" history rather than just "studying" history. We will feature strategies and resources that can be used in a face to face or virtual setting.

Participants will need to have a laptop, chromebook or table with them.
