Handwriting without Tears: Print and Cursive, Kindergarten through 5th grade

This interactive workshop provides dynamic instruction in the teaching methodology from beginning print through cursive, using the comprehensive and easy-to-use curriculum from Handwriting Without Tears. This session includes an introduction to the developmental progression of written production skills, from handwriting to keyboarding. Participants will experience, implementation of the engaging multisensory techniques and research based methods to make handwriting a natural and automatic skill for children of all ages and abilities including:

• Implement, teach, and remediate handwriting using effective systematic lesson plans that incorporate active teaching, multi-sensory strategies and differentiated instruction.
• Promote independent writing skills beyond handwriting workbook instruction
• Use of multi-sensory activities and techniques to teach writing instructional approaches, stages of learning, and HWT Screener of Handwriting Proficiency and The Print Tool
• Navigate digital teaching technology and hands-on resources to facilitate engaging lessons

This will be held via On24 Digital Platform.

Please note that you will be need a camera and microphone on your computer in order to participate in the course, as it will still have interactive portions.
