This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Your session has been postponed

The Region 10 Teaching and Learning Team has made adjustments to our face-to-face professional development in an effort to better serve educators throughout Region 10 to account for the COVID-19 pandemic. We have transformed many of our traditional face-to-face sessions to virtual offerings to ensure educators have access to high-quality professional development in the safety of their own homes. Unfortunately, the Teaching and Learning Team does not feel that the session you signed up for can be transformed into a virtual session without losing content. Therefore, we are postponing this session until we can safely offer it again in a face-to-face format. Once your session has been rescheduled, we will notify you.

How does Social Studies connect with the push for STEM in education today?  How can you integrate STEM into the Social Studies classroom?  In this session we will explore why the integration of Social Studies and STEM is important to the development of critical thinkers that are prepared to participate in the world around them.  Time will also be spent examining various strategies and resources designed to connect STEM and Social Studies in all areas of Social Studies.
