Region 10's ESC Safety 1st Conference: Making Schools Safe will mirror our regional focus on students by providing this service to help lead school staff to solutions that focus upon greater safety on school campuses.
Please join us virtually on April 27th ,28th, and 29th from 12:15-4:00 for our Annual 2021 Safety 1st Conference: Making Schools Safe. Presenters from various organizations will provide up-to-date information in order to help us better protect our students and staff. Each day will be highlighted by a special keynote session including Carly Posey; From Sandy Hook to COVID-19. Lessons Learned, Dr. Scott Poland; Recognize and Prevent Student Harm and Andrew McPeak; 8 Strategies for Leading the Pandemic Population. We will have sessions Social/Emotional Planning and the Built Environment, Cyber Safety/Cyberbullying and Drugs and Virtual Learning and more! We will have speakers presenting updates and information from: Texas Association of School Boards, Texas School Safety Center, Texas Association Against Sexual Assault, Dallas Child Advocacy Center, Department of Homeland Security, Texas Association of School Boards, Texas Education Agency, and more!
* This session is free to all Districts/Private Schools and Charter Schools who have purchased the Region 10 Administrative Services Package. All non-Region 10 participants will pay $99.00 per person for this event.
