This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.


Important Session Information:


Two Day SIOP Training (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) Overview of the 8 components of sheltered instruction for ELs. Attendance both days is required to earn credit.

Sheltered Instruction is a way to differentiate and support your English Learners in the classroom in order that academic gains occur. In this session, participants will learn about the elements of effective instruction for ELs. A focus will be on ensuring that ELs receive content instruction with comprehensible input and curriculum delivery strategies aimed at helping ELs.
