Sessions to introduce and/or train on various types of Assistive Technology for students with visual impairments.

Description:

The BrailleNote Touch plus offers braille reading students numerous ways to access academic content and express ideas in classroom settings.  This workshop will focus on sharing content to the cloud and using KeyMath to create equations and graphs.  Those attending will participate in a mix of demonstration, discussion and hands-on activities.

 

Objectives:

The participant will review how to enable mirroring capabilities on the BrailleNote Touch Plus

The participant will create a document in KeyWord and share the document using KeyFiles with Google Drive/Classroom

The participant will use KeyMath to export graphs an equations to KeyWord

The participant will use Tactile View to explore an equation that has been graphed

The participant will learn how to edit equations that have been placed into a KeyWord document
