Welding Lab behind High school 

Registration fee : $400 per attendee

This three day workshop will provide:

1. A basic overview of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and Oxy-fuel cutting;

2. A review of the American Welding Society D1.1 and D9.1 codes and welder testing criterion;

3. Hands on use of welding inspection and measuring tools to examine welds against code

     inspection criteria

4. How to initiate a student welder qualification and certification program in your school;

5. A path for attending instructors to obtain welder certification to AWS welding codes and

   welding inspection certification to American Society for Non-destructive Testing inspection

   codes.

Workshop fee includes welding inspection gauges, course workbook and, providing tests are passed, welder and inspector certification to attendees. When all workshop requirements are met, attendees will be certified as welders and inspectors in accordance with AWS, API and ASNT codes where applicable, and authorized to test welders and submit paperwork for student certification to TEA accountability code items.

Required workshop items:

• Required: To protect your skin and eyes please bring a long sleeve shirt or welding jacket
• Required: Please bring a minimum of 6 each 3/8 in thick plate that measure 3 inches wide x 6 inches long.
