Donalyn Miller Presents
Making a Case for Reading Joy

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Adults who continue to read long after formal schooling ends read because they find some intellectual or personal enjoyment. Unfortunately, too many young readers endure reading experiences at school that disconnect them from reading enjoyment or actively discourage it. In this workshop, Donalyn Miller, award-winning Texas teacher and author, describes the conditions, rituals, and instructional opportunities that engage young people with reading and set them on the path the reading joy for a lifetime. Workshop includes extensive book recommendations and resources.

NO Charge for Region 10 Library Cooperative members. In-Region, Non-coop members will be charged $150.00 at check out. If paying by a P.O. please send a copy of the PO to Mary Matzek at mary.matzek@region10.org
