This workshop is for all PE Teachers, Special Education Teachers, and paraprofessionals who work with severe and profound students. During this workshop you will explore age-appropriate and functional motor activities for students with severe mental, physical, or emotional disabilities. Activities, both individual and group, will be presented from the Motor Activities Training Program along with activities developed over the years of working with students with multiple impairments. Evaluation, IEP development, and instructional strategies also will be explored for students with severe and multiple impairments. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to become certified as a Special Olympics Motor Activities Training Coach and have access to the materials needed to conduct a training day in the school.
