Promoting respect and appropriate services for cultural and linguistic differences.
Promoting strategies for safe, nurturing, and dependable parenting and home interventions.
Creating links among schools, families, and community providers.

Important Session Information:

Positive Parent-School relationships are such a powerful component of student success. When conducting an evaluation of a student, having a positive rapport and connection with the parent will be key to gathering good data. Evaluators must have the skills to be able to build and bridge these connections with parents to our campuses.

This Training will discuss:

  • The impact of parent education and involvement on student outcomes and teacher satisfaction.
  • Challenges and barriers to parent involvement in schools and ways to address them.
  • Strategies and techniques for supporting parent/teacher relationships in a consultation capacity.

This training is free for all Region 10 schools.
