APLA - Assistant Principal Leadership Academy
The Language of Leaders: Developing a Coach Approach for Your Team (Sandra Moore & Joe Hirsch)




Targeted Audience: Assistant Principals, Dean of Instructions and Curriculum, Principals and Interns

(Participants for the Academy are designated by their District Office)

Leaders today will be called upon to demonstrate a variety of skills that address demands as mandated by the state. Assistant Principals must have cutting-edge professional knowledge and skills to ensure exemplary achievement for all students in the 21st-century schools.

Through a cooperative effort between your district and Region 10 ESC, you have an opportunity to enhance your leadership skills by going beyond traditional campus administrator training. By committing to Region 10 Educational Service Center’s Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APLA), you can:

  • participate in an analysis of core leadership strengths

  • receive training from nationally recognized consultants and superintendents in the field of education an leadership

  • explore the latest research-based resources, literature and articles 

  • interact with outstanding professionals for reflection, dialogue and problem solving

Note: The cost for Charter Schools/Districts/Private Schools who have not purchased the Region 10 Administrative Services Package and non-Region 10 participants is $1,250.00 per person.

 

 

 


Important Session Information:


Through a “coach approach” to leading teams, participants will master the techniques that build the strengths and skills of every individual. From creating performance partnerships between teacher teams to breaking knowledge silos that exist within schools, this module offers deep insights into how assistant principals can help individuals to reach their fullest potential – all while honing their own leadership persona.

Note:  Credentials will be issued upon completion of all on-line pre-course modules and the collaborative webinars requirements.
