The p.a.p.a. curriculum is a statutorily required education program for middle and high school students on the rights, responsibilities, and realities of parenting. The curriculum emphasizes the value of stable families and children’s need to have both parents’ skilled, caring support. Family Initiatives provides ongoing support and training for use of the p.a.p.a. curriculum by educators and social service professionals working with middle and high school age youth, develops curriculum enhancements and updates curriculum content to maintain legal accuracy and educational relevance, and tracks curriculum implementation and oversees evaluation of program activities. Participants will receive a free copy of the curriculum as well as other materials at the training. It is recommended to re-certify every two years.
