Early Childhood Data System (ECDS) 101

Early Childhood Data System (ECDS) is a state reporting feature in the Texas State Data System (TSDS). All public schools are required to report Texas Educations Data Standards (TEDS) data elements for Prekindergarten and Kindergarten at the district and campus level through PEIMS and ECDS which includes both demographic data as well as progress monitoring results. If you are new to ECDs, this is one session you don’t want to miss! This training will provide an overview of the Early Childhood Data System (ECDS) submission process. Information and resources will be shared with districts, charter schools, and child care providers regarding how to submit the required Kindergarten and Prekindergarten ECDS data in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS). We will also explain how to obtain the data and what components are required for the submission.
