The goal for Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (DITEP) is to enable the educational professional to recognize the signs and symptoms of drug or alcohol impairment in order to prevent an impaired student from driving away off campus. It is also to serve as a treatment intervention tool to reduce future instances of DWI. All educational and health professionals are invited to attend. The training will not qualify the participant as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).
There are two price tiers for this event:
- Members of the Region 10 Counselors Initiative and Student Support (CISS) Cooperative receive FREE registration.
- Region 10 teachers and Out of Region teachers who are not in the Region 10 CISS Cooperative pay $150.00.
This workshop is available for currently employed educators in Region 10 public school districts, charter schools, and private schools. If you have any further questions, and/or need further registration information please contact Elaine Fackler 972/348-1486.
