This workshop is designed to provide educators with a better understanding of the challenges that students from poverty face in the classroom.

This 1 day webinar, featuring Aha! Process National Speaker, Dr. Rickey Frierson, will provide in-depth information to help you understand class differences and 10 actions you can implement in the classroom to achieve impact.

This workshop is based on Ruby Payne's book A Framework for Understanding Poverty, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies.

After participating in this webinar you will:

  • Use concrete instructional strategies to help students from poverty
  • Understand hidden rules of economic class and effects on behaviors and mindsets
  • Develop stronger relationships with students to impact behavior and achievement
  • Identify key instructional strategies that meet the needs of the under-resourced learner
  • Understand the hidden rules of economic classes and how they apply to their classrooms
  • Reduce discipline referrals
