This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
Teachers of grades 6-12 can intentionally bring other subject areas into the study of their classroom content, and a multi-disciplinary perspective allows students more meaningful, relevant, and engaging experiences. Participants of this session at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will explore the concept of beauty across disciplines. Participants will both experience a theme-based, cross-curricular approach and work collaboratively to build lessons for their own classes using a cross-curricular mindset.
