VI: Assistive Technology
Technology Fair




Sessions to introduce and/or train on various types of Assistive Technology for students with visual impairments.

Important Session Information:


The Assistive Technology (AT) Fair is our day of education and exploration. We will use our time to explore Low Vision technology and Braille technology.  

We will include in our adventure, identification of appropriate devices for students, feature matching, addressing distance magnification and device exploration. 

We will start our day with handheld magnification devices and then travel the road through portable, desktop and luggable devices.  We will top our day with a trek through the field of braille devices, from braille displays to note takers! You never know what you will find when you tour technology. There may be some shiny new items to explore.
