This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
Please join us for the January 14, 2020 R10 MTSS Consortium. We will be reviewing updates from TEA in regards to the Technical Assistance Networks, Systems to begin reviewing before the end of the school year and address any concerns you may be facing with implementing a MTSS Model. We will also be hosting Professor (and Judge) Angela Downes. Professor Downes is the Assistant Director of Experiential Education and Professor of Practice Law at the University of North Texas Law School. She is also an associate municipal judge for the City of Glenn Heights, Texas.
She will be talking to us about the Intersection between Social Emotional Learning, Juvenile Justice and Implicit Bias.
Purpose of the R10 MTSS Consortium:The R10 MTSS Consortium is a time to come together as thought partners to navigate the world Multi Tiered Systems of Support. We review any new information from the Texas Education Agency, hear from community partners on topics as they relate to academic, behavior, social emotional learning, restorative practices, cultural responsiveness as well as the logistical systems that are required to make these supports and services sustainable.
