Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice




Understanding and respect for diversity in development and learning, and advocacy for social justice, are foundations for all aspects of service delivery. Examples of professional practices include:

Addressing individual differences, strengths, backgrounds, and needs in the design, implementation, and evaluation of all services. 
Using a problem-solving framework for addressing the needs of English language learners.  Promoting fairness and social justice in school policies and programs


Important Session Information:


Do you have some understanding about the issues and concepts surrounding social justice, but feel unsure of how to transfer that knowledge into practice? This session will help provide a framework and context for addressing that challenge.

Participants will learn and review common terminology and language surrounding social justice, the foundational principles of sustained dialogue, and techniques and tips for challenging bias and discrimination. 

This session meets the TSBEP requirements for Cultural Diversity credits.

This session is free for all Region 10 Schools.
