Passport to Literacy: A Cruise Through Balanced Literacy
Garland ISD

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

What is Balanced Literacy? We hear about it but do we know exactly what it means?  In this session, we will cruise to three Ports of Call as we peek into classrooms to view research based contexts that demonstrate balanced literacy in action. We will explore Whole Group, Small Group and Independent instruction. Participants will have the opportunity to create, collaborate and share with fellow educators as we practice effective tools to provide balance to your literacy instruction.
