The “Early Childhood Instructional Coaching Academy” provides a unique opportunity to develop educators coaching and instructional skills. This training is designed for instructional coaches, instructional specialists, and mentor teachers who support early childhood teachers. To foster deep learning and collaboration, participants will attend four days throughout the 2019-2020 school year. Over the course of the year, participants will build a collaborative network and a toolbox of strategies and resources for instructional coaching, which will effectively impact instruction and student learning. The training will also include a book study of Jim Knight’s book, Instructional Coaching: A Partnership to Improving Instruction. Additionally, there are outside assignments to attain all credit hours. Participants will leave the academy with the necessary knowledge and skills to support early childhood teachers as they ensure that their students are kindergarten ready, and ultimately, increase student achievement.
* This session is $300.00 for all Districts/Charter Schools/Private Schools who have joined the Region 10 Early Childhood Services and Prekindergarten Cooperative. All non-Region 10 participants will pay $700.00 per person for this event.
