By engaging in activities rooted in play, young children develop physical, social-
emotional and intellectual skills while building creativity and imagination. Participants will explore strategies to promote curiosity in young learners while incorporating the principles of Universal Design. Participants will create engaging activities that encourage innovation, problem-solving, community and social-emotional development. Best practices that promote kindergarten readiness will be addressed. Additionally, specific strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners will also be explored and discussed. This will be a blended session that will include activities prior to and following the session for an additional 1.5 CPE hours.
* This session is free to all Districts/ Charter Schools/Private Schools and who have joined the Region 10 Early Childhood Services and Prekindergarten Cooperative. All non-Region 10 participants will pay $150.00 per person for this event.
