This Special Education professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist special educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
The Seven Strands of the essential knowledge and skills for English Language Arts and reading adopted in 2017 are intended to be integrated for instructional purposes beginning of 2019-2020 school year. As a special education teachers, participants in this session will carefully analyze the seven strands of the new ELAR TEKS, targeting academic vocabulary, academic progressions, and interconnected nature of the stands and SEs, along with a vertical view of the TEKS to better serve Special Education students.
