Exploring the New ELAR TEKS for Curriculum Support
Implications for Librarians




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:


The seven strands of the essential knowledge and skills for English language arts and reading adopted in 2017 are intended to be integrated for instructional purposes. Curriculum support staff will explore the seven strands of the new ELAR TEKS, targeting academic vocabulary, the interconnected nature of strands and SEs. Session activities will focus on connections between curriculum, classroom instruction, and library programming.   - Please bring an electronic device.

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT

  1. REGION 10 LIBRARY COOPERATIVE MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION
  2. IN-REGION, NON-COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $150.
