This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
Important Session Information:
How do you get students engaged in the Social Studies classroom? What is the benefit in creating opportunities for critical thinking in the Social Studies classroom? This session will provide participants examples of a variety of critical thinking strategies that can be used in any Social Studies classroom that will both engage students but also challenge students to think critically. Emphasis will be placed on the value of using primary sources in the classroom as well as ways to assess student learning.
