Primary Sources: A Lens to Critical Thinking
Grades 3-12




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:


How do you get students engaged in the Social Studies classroom? One way to do so is through the use of primary sources. More and more it is important that students become engaged, critical thinkers. With a focus on 21st century skills, we will dig into why the use of primary sources in the Social Studies classroom is essential to building critical thinking in our classes. A variety of activities will be used as well as the opportunity to locate, curate and share examples of good primary sources and resources for primary sources.
