Cultural Consciousness Series
Webinar - Lifelong Learning through Social Justice and Community Service Projects

These events will support educators in developing culturally conscious instructional practices and learning environments in order to support equitable opportunity for educational success.

Important Session Information:

This is a Webinar not held at Region 10.

Recognizing discrimination and marginalization is a developmental area of social emotional learning. Giving back to the community and creating opportunity provides empowerment and agency for students. For students who are negatively impacted by social injustice and those who are working to make a difference for themselves and others this provides a unique opportunity to engage the brain with goal setting and problem solving as well as collaboration and teamwork. We will explore resources for support in creating these opportunities and how to incorporate them into our curriculum standards.
