This is the fifth session of The Problem Solving Mini Series. Join us for one, two or as many of the sessions as you would like. 

In this Zoom professional learning session, we will delve into the importance of using varied problems and contexts in mathematics instruction, as emphasized in Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI). CGI is an evidence-based approach that empowers students to develop their own problem-solving strategies by building on their intuitive understanding of mathematical concepts.

This professional learning session will focus on the use of representations to help students make sense of multi-step problems and deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. Using these strategies we can empower students to tackle challenging problems with confidence.
